The Next Chapter of 3WD Begins!

To our incredible 3 Wise DMs community,

As we chart a course toward our 200th episode (!!!) we’ve found ourselves reflecting on just how far this journey has taken us. Over the past six years, what began as three Dungeon Masters talking shop has grown into an amazing community of TTRPG players, GMs, worldbuilders, storytellers, and friends. Thank you for being part of that adventure.

From the very beginning, our mission has been simple:

“DMs with problems helping DMs with problems.”

For years we’ve brainstormed ideas on the podcast, explored game design, and asked, “Wouldn’t it be great if someone made that?” Well… we’ve finally decided that someone should be us.

We’re excited to announce that 3 Wise DMs is entering its next chapter.

In addition to continuing the podcast, we’re rolling up our sleeves and heading into the workshop to begin developing some of the projects we’ve talked about for years. Among them are:

• The Journey System – A mini-game that can be placed into any system designed to make overland journeys, wilderness exploration, and hex-crawl adventures as engaging and memorable as the destinations themselves.
• Boomtown – Our ambitious Weird West campaign setting, built from the ground up with ideas from the 3 Wise DMs community. We hope to create one of the first truly crowdsourced campaign settings, shaped by GMs and players who love collaborative worldbuilding as much as we do.

And that’s only the beginning.

As we devote more time to building these resources, our podcast schedule may become a little less frequent than it has been in the past. But make no mistake—the podcast isn’t going anywhere. We’ll continue releasing new episodes, discussing the topics you care about, and, as always, answering your listener questions. In fact, your questions remain at the heart of everything we do and continue to inspire some of our favorite conversations.

This isn’t us slowing down.

It’s us building something bigger.

We’re incredibly excited to have you with us as we explore new ideas, create new tools, and continue growing alongside one of the best tabletop gaming communities anywhere.

So gather your party, sharpen your pencils, and pack your dice.

The next adventure for 3 Wise DMs is just beginning.
